ARE GOLFING ENSEMBLES GOOD FOR THE GARDEN?

Image
This sonic aqua golfing ensemble is great for gardening in cooler climates, because the aqua is one of my proven blues. Both blues are perfect.  Every golfer should know about wearing the right colors. I've not learned to play golf yet, but what I know about golfing is that distractions from flying bugs can throw off your swing and lead to you breaking your golf club over your knee in frustration. 😖 Fresh off the course?  Head for the garden to get more fresh air, Ladies.  You'll experience a c omfortable time in your garden wearing this ensemble or one similar to it.                                                  Happy Gardening/Shopping today!                      What Adidas has to says:                "Comfort. Movement. Feel."

MY PROVEN BLUES

Image
Sky blue is my favorite color.  Recently, I was browsing  Amazon online and saw they sold a sky-blue long-sleeved workout shirt.  I was pleasantly surprised, because I've never seen my favorite color on clothing before. Excitedly, I purchased two of these shirts (one in gray and my favorite blue).    I've tested Aqua-blue, both medium and light tones. Some refer to this hue as "light turquoise." I regularly wear aqua gloves with whitish leather palms made of washable leather.  Oh, believe me, the white doesn't stay white long. This blue works for deterring flying bugs. Steer clear of the purplish blues. In Texas, you may appear to be a Salvia Azurea Blue Sage (wildflower).  Bees LOVE them.  This is a pollinator that can be found according to Wikipedia.org "from Utah east to Connecticut and from Minnesota south to Florida. This wildflower tends to be found in the eastern and southeastern portion of this range..."   Check out my favorite gloves,  if you

CAN WE WHERE HOSPITAL SCRUBS IN THE GARDEN?

Image
Is wearing scrubs mandatory at your job?  Go from dirty to dirtier, feed the kids, cat, and/or dog, and head straight for your garden in your scrubs.  Unless, you'd feel more comfortable removing your scrubs for fear of bringing something highly contagious home.  Otherwise, if your scrub color's  right, you can have a bug-free time outside:  wind-down, relax, and get your necessary vitamin D, Girls. However,  if you want to minimize the presence  of flying bugs you should  steer clear of blues that are the color of any flower.  I'm really sorry about that,  because I love all blues, as well. I  know, the grays are blah and drab, but they  work to keep you comfortable in the garden by being a natural insect repellent. Do a little planting or weed pulling while you're out there.   Oh,  don't forget your airy garden crocks!                                                                                                     HAPPY GARDENING!

GARDEN OUTFITS THAT LOOK LIKE A CRACK OR HOLE IN A WALL?

Image
Be careful, Girls.  Steer clear of choosing garden outfits that bears BLACK or very DARK-BLUE logos,  zippers, spots, stripes, silhouettes, words, or such like.  Why?  Some insects venture i nto cracks and holes in walls of buildings to nest. Your outfit  may look like a place  to explore the possibility. Since the flying bug is exploring, it may  try to land on  you  to  see exactly what you are.   Be safe, Ladies.                                         Happy Gardening!

COMFY WORKOUT JEANS FOR GARDENING!

Image
Ladies, we know sometimes your favorite jeans can be binding cutting into you; and after some time in them they can brand you like a cow.  Look what I found for y'all while breezing through a new Blair catalog (March 2022).  Some may hate Blair products, but bear with me, please. These denim jeans are perfect for leg protection on tougher jobs in your garden!  This item comes in Quarry-Gray, Medium and Light-Washed:  great blues and gray, for detouring flying bugs.  Personally, I wear knee-high rubber boots, so the length is not that important to me.  However, the maximum length is a 29-1/2" inseam.  This may be too short for you, BUT the new trend is to roll them up anyway. They offer them in  a cool capri, rider's boot-cut, and breezy wide-leg styles (Misses, Womens, and Petite sizes).  Denim that's "so soft you can sleep in them ," and yet they are made of tough denim w/spandex!  These soft jeans boast five real pockets, but the fly is faux (easy on

BEST TYPE OF ACTIVE WEAR SPORT BRA FOR GARDENING

Image
I  can see much SUPPORT with this type of active wear bra, because of the high neck.  Just think, no cleavage hangs/stretches when leaning over (planting or seeding), in your gardening workouts.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              If I were to purchase this particular bra,  I'd button down to my belly an oversized cotton shirt and tie it up. The back of the shirt will hang over my hips: feminize that big shirt. Covered in cotton-coolness that works with a pair of loose-fitting rolled up jeans with my big brim Raffia straw hat w/chin cord. That's it! I'm ready for the intense Texas sun without wearing sunscreen and bug repellent every day while gardening and/or mowing. (Sunscreens give me hives.  (Does anyone else get hives from

DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING OUT THERE?

Image
The above picture is where the local coyote brought his kill to devour or bury it.  I removed lots of brush burned and/or chopped it up.  Normally, when people see a woman work that hard alone (wearing her husband's clothes) they assume she is a ruffian. Don't let that happen to you. Ladies, you're being watched by your neighbors in your garden. They beg the question:  "Does she know what she's doing?" For me, the answer was, yes.  However, I was "the new kid on the block," so who knew? Above is a before picture of my garden space.  The After picture is at the end of this post. # 1 stay humble, because you don't know everything about gardening, but you're willing to learn.  Therefore, be friendly as possible.  You may have to ask for prayer. #2 be committed to whatever you've started:  don't quit. Be willing to search-out advice. #3 if your plant starts to die, show concern #4 it's possible the plant doesn't like that

GREAT COMFY PLUS-SIZED GRAY PANTS FOR GARDENING

Image
Kohl's is offering an excellent pair of plus-sized (1X-5X) loose fitting summer pants in GRAY.  Boasting, not only, 2 large open side pockets for packs of seeds, but an extra down the leg w/flap (this is where I'd park my cellphone combined w/a blue tooth or buds) to float comfortably in the garden. If you're not busty, you can easily wear a cool cropped tee.  Busty women should tuck a tee and look great, as well.  Work out, Girl!                                                                                 Happy Shopping/Gardening today!

ACTIVE WEAR: FOR THE GARDEN WORK-OUT

Image
Because   To HAUL, we LIFT then dump. To plant we BEND and SQUAT. KNEEL then RISE to our feet. WALKING a mile to spread seeds. To clean our beds, we STRETCH. From Spring to Fall we REACH and sweat. At the end the day, we smile and say, "What a Workout!"  poem by Viv                                                                                         These pants are pocketed moisture-wicking capris.  Love the color for the garden workout.  One thing that I don't like about wearing capris in my garden (for a longtime in the intense Texas sun) is the darker tan line I get across my calves. 😖  Add a moisture-wicking GRAY or LIGHT blue tunic-tee to cover the hips and upper-thighs.  That's me (below) covering my buttocks and upper thighs, as well.
